THE PERMANENT SHOWROOM IN DUBAI CONTINUES ITS ACTIVITY

Our permanent showroom in Dubai, which was opened in 2010 to display the curtain, furnishing fabric and household linen collections of some of our associated companies under our brand name Creazioni di Como will carry on its business in 2011 as well.
A Business Developer has been specifically employed on site by the Consortium to promote corporate exports, and it is important to note that excellent sales prospects have developed in recent months for companies operating in the contract framework.
Establishment in a showroom is also facilitating business development and expansion to neighbouring countries, such as Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Oman.

SHOWROOM IN DOHA – QATAR

In June our Consortium will open a sales corner in a prestigious showroom in Doha, Qatar, the site of the Football World Cup 2022. In fact, construction works for 80 new hotels and impressive projects have been scheduled.

EXPLORATORY MISSION IN CHICAGO
USA, 16-18 May 2011

Dr. Giulia Stasi from our Consortium will represent the associated companies during an exploratory mission carried out in the USA and designed to target the textile, furnishing fabric, curtain and household linen sectors. This initiative will be organised in the form of B2B meetings with local operators, particularly architects, interior designers, importers and facility managers.
If the information gathered during this mission confirms that the market actually offers good prospects, our Consortium will organise a tailored mission that envisages direct participation of companies in building commercial relations.

MISSION IN SOCHI - MADE IN ITALY CONTRACT PROJECT
Russia, 17-18 May 2011

In the framework of Project Contract Made in Italy promoted by the Ministry for Economic Development, the ICE is once again organising in partnership with Associazioni del Tavolo Abitare a programme of foreign events dedicated to the contract sector. The first such event will be held at the Radisson Lazurnaya Hotel in Sochi on 17-18 May 2011.
Sochi, which is situated in the Krasnodar region, will host the Winter Olympics in 2014, and the administration plans on fitting the entire area with European standard tourist facilities. Hence the interesting prospects even for the hospitality and residential sectors. The International Olympic Committee has estimated the need to create over 24,000 rooms and more than 1,000 flats. Russian investments focused on modernising infrastructures and on constructing sports and hospitality facilities amount to over 12 billion US dollars.
Our presence on site at this particular moment entails making the most of the opportunity to propose our solutions based on the all Italian quality to architects and interior designers.

WORKSHOP- MISSION IN SAUDI ARABIA FOR THE FURNISHING TEXTILES SECTOR
Jeddah/Riyadh, 29 May – 1 June

During meetings held for this sector, our associated companies expressed a deep interest in Saudi Arabia, whose internal market is steadily growing, and whose economy represents alone, in terms of GDP, 25% of the whole Middle Eastern region and North Africa. Moreover, the country is situated in a strategic position between the three continents Asia, Africa and Europe with which it now has consolidated and steadily expanding relations.
The Consortium deems it important to organise a workshop/mission in Saudi Arabia for direct evaluation of the market situation in view of defining the prospects for the sector.
This one day workshop-mission will entirely centre on introducing the Consortium and products manufactured by its associated companies. It also envisages additional B2B meetings with local operators such as architects, design firms, retailers, distributors and operators in the contract framework.

WORKSHOP IN QATAR FOR THE FURNISHING TEXTILES SECTOR – Date to be defined

Considering the fact that the candidacy of Qatar as host of the World Cup 2022 has been accepted, the Consortium has reason to believe that promising prospects will unfold in the contract sector (hotels, restaurants, etc.) in the near future. Therefore, taking into account the growing construction market for residential complexes and the urban renovation and upgrading projects such as “Heart of Doha,” Qatar will be one of the Consortium’s target markets in the near future.
In view of achieving the aforementioned goals, our promotional programme for 2011 envisages the organisation of a workshop/mission to introduce the Consortium and products manufactured by its associated companies to local operators (e.g. architects, design firms, contractors and operators in the hotel sector). This initiative focuses on creating a stable landmark (our showroom and personnel) in Doha, as in Dubai.

The initiative will be entirely organised and coordinated by both the Consortium and the company Mo.Ma srl, which prides in extensive experience in this market’s textile machinery niche. The two-day event will be held in a leading hotel in Algiers. The workshop will only be attended by specialised operators who have been previously selected and invited to the event. The Consortium will provide the operators with informative material in French and Arab prior to the event. B2B meetings and visits to local textile companies, if necessary, will also be organised.
